Welcome, Manager

Front Office FC puts you in charge of a single soccer club through a full season and beyond. You are the manager and the front office rolled into one: you pick the lineup, set the tactics, sign and trade players, manage the wage bill, and steer the club through the playoffs and into the next season.

The game begins in the 1996 inaugural season of the National Soccer League (NSL) — ten brand-new clubs, five in the Eastern Conference and five in the Western. You choose one of them and take it as far as you can.

Every season follows the same rhythm:

  1. The Challenge Cup — a knockout warm-up tournament before the league kicks off.
  2. The regular season — 32 games across 32 weeks, one match a week for your club.
  3. The NSL Playoffs — the top clubs in each conference fight for the Founders Cup.
  4. The Continental Champions Cup — the Founders Cup winner represents the league abroad.
  5. The offseason — retirements, contracts, the college draft, and free agency.

Then the whole thing begins again with an older, wiser (or fading) squad. Your job is to keep winning year after year and build a club that lasts.

You win by making better decisions than the clubs you’re up against: putting the right eleven on the pitch, spending your money where it counts, and planning for next season while you fight for this one.

Front Office FC is a work of fiction. The clubs, competitions, and players are original to the game. Any resemblance to real leagues or footballers is part of the fun, not the point.
