Roster Rules

Every club plays by the same roster rules. Break one and you won’t be able to field a team, so keep your squad legal at all times.

  • Maximum 18 players on your in-season roster.
  • Minimum 17 players — you need a full matchday squad, so you can’t drop below this floor.

That’s a tight band. With only 18 spots, every signing means someone else has to go.

  • You must carry at least 2 goalkeepers.

Never let your keeper count slip to one — an injury or suspension would leave you unable to field a proper team.

  • Maximum 5 international (non-domestic) players.

Internationals are often among the most talented players available, but the limit forces real choices. If you’re already at five and want another, one has to make way first.

During the offseason the squad limit is relaxed — you can carry a larger group (up to 25) while you draft, re-sign, and reshape the team. But before the new season kicks off you must trim back to 18 and be fully compliant on the salary cap and international limit. The game won’t let you start the year out of bounds.
