The Transfer Window

Once the draft is done, the transfer window opens — your last chance to reshape the squad before the new season begins by signing available players.

The window runs for three weeks. You shop the same unified player pool you use during the season — every available player, home-grown and international, in one list:

  • Filter by All / US / Intl and by position to zero in on the players who fill your gaps.
  • Each signing draws a transfer fee from your budget, paid up front; a fee can never exceed what you have to spend. You see the fee and the player’s wage before you confirm.
  • Signings come on multi-year contracts, so a player you bring in now is part of your plans beyond the coming season — not a one-year stopgap.
  • Advance the window week by week as you shop. Fresh players circulate into the pool as it runs, so it’s worth working all three weeks rather than spending everything on day one.

The window is your final chance to shape the roster before kickoff. By the time you begin the season you must be fully compliant:

  • 18 players on the senior roster.
  • At least two goalkeepers.
  • No more than five internationals.
  • Under the salary cap.

See Roster Rules for the full checklist. The game won’t let you start the season out of bounds, so tidy up before you kick off.

When you’re set, begin the season — and the whole cycle starts again with your new-look squad.
