Injuries & Suspensions
Keeping your best players available is half the battle. Cards and knocks will cost you players at the worst possible times — plan for it.
Cards and suspensions
Section titled “Cards and suspensions”Discipline follows clear rules in the league:
- Five yellow cards across the season earns a one-game suspension. Once you serve it, your yellow count resets and starts again.
- A red card — whether straight or two yellows in one match — brings a one-game suspension.
A suspended player can’t be selected until he’s served his ban. The Schedule and your squad screen flag who’s sitting out.
Remember that cup bookings are tracked separately and don’t count toward your league yellows.
Injuries
Section titled “Injuries”Players can pick up injuries — some in the run of a match, some that keep them out for a while. An injury sidelines a player for a period of weeks depending on how bad it is, and he can’t be selected until he recovers.
You’ll see each injured player’s status on your squad screen so you know when to expect him back.
The injured reserve
Section titled “The injured reserve”For longer-term injuries, you can place a player on the injured reserve (IR):
- Place on IR to set aside a player who’ll be out for a while.
- Activate from IR to bring him back once he’s fit and you want him in the squad again.
